Marisha Chilcott, Physician

I am a Board Certified Family Physician who has found my passion with medical aesthetics. Although I still love medicine and continue to practice a tiny bit by serving as the primary care doctor for three homes of developmentally delayed adults and working an occasional hospitalist shift at Petaluma Valley Hospital, I am delighted to spend my days helping my clients love the person in the mirror more. Every single day I say at least once, “I have the best job for me that I can imagine!” I get to express a level of creativity that I had no idea was inside of me and I have become fond of saying that yes, I am an artist, and the human face is my medium!

For those of you who want to know, I went to UC Berkeley for college, where I earned a BA in Mathematics. After an initial career in consulting and software product development for public utilities, I went back to school and received my M.D. from UC Davis School of Medicine. I completed Family Practice residency at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center, where I subsequently worked as an ER physician for six years.

I came to Santa Rosa to join my father-out-law, Dr. F. Scott Chilcott in private family practice. We had the opportunity to work together until he retired in 2013. I founded Morpheus Medical Aesthetics in 2009 while I was still primarily a geriatrics specialist, but since 2014, I have shifted my focus from illness to vitality and now spend most of my time performing aesthetic procedures as well as coaching clients toward maximally healthy lives.

I am a Fellow in the California Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons. I enjoy training physicians and nurses to perform cosmetic injections at the office in Santa Rosa and speaking at conferences on emerging technologies and techniques. For fun outside of work I love to kite board, mountain bike, and laugh my head off with people I love!

Cherlyn Jeffers, Registered Nurse

I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Sonoma State University, 2003. I am a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience within the women’s healthcare setting as well as in public health, and I have a passion for medical aesthetics. I started at Morpheus in 2011, when I came in as a client. I saw an opportunity to be able to work with and support women in there rightful passage of taking care of themselves through the beautiful yet sometimes challenging process of aging.

I am continuously improving my training and education in skin care and health as it pertains to aging, while using the latest techniques in injections and lasers. I have a soft, gentle touch when it comes to facial contouring and I love enhancing peoples natural beauty. I’m referred to as, “the lip queen” as I take special pride in providing a result that frames your face perfectly. My primary objective is to help you achieve your goals and to create an individualized plan that meets those goals. Building deep relationships that empower women to take the best care of themselves fuels me and keeps me motivated.

I go to Cherlyn for my lip injections and she does a wonderful job. She has a great touch and her work looks so natural I was hooked the very first time. Everyone in the office is very professional and friendly. I would absolutely recommend this office to my family and friends.

Kayo Kurokawa, Registered Nurse

I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at Samuel Merritt University in 2013 and have been in the medical aesthetics field since then. Before becoming a Registered Nurse, I had a career in Structural Engineering design and designed many buildings in the Bay Area.

Although I had a passion for creativity, design, and organization in my engineering career, I realized that I wanted to transition to a career where I can build personal relationships while helping others. I found a passion in the healthcare field and am delighted to have joined the Morpheus Aesthetics team in the spring of 2017. I believe in building long term relationships with each client I encounter because I want to be involved in each individual’s personal journey.

I try to treat each client holistically after focussing on each individuals concerns. I am very personable and always aim to customize each treatment to achieve a more natural look for you. To me, each person has their own definition of beautiful and ultimately, I would like to bring the best out of you. We all are aging and I would like to help each one of my clients age gracefully.

Julie Bones, Registered Nurse, Provider

I was born and raised in Sonoma County.  I received my BA in Biology from UC Santa Cruz.  After college, I studied Nursing at the Santa Rosa Junior College, earning my Associate Degree in Nursing.

"I get to be in touch with my artistic side and allow my attention to details to shine."

I have been an RN since 2006, starting out in the excitement of the Emergency Room (where everybody needs us, but nobody wants us).  Now as a wife and mother of twins, I have found a more grounded pace and connected style of nursing in aesthetics (where everybody wants us, but nobody needs us).  Now I get to be in touch with my artistic side and allow my attention to details to shine.

I really enjoy helping people feel good about themselves.  Aesthetics is more than just treating someone’s outside appearance.   Practicing this type of self-care helps us to not only look more beautiful on the outside but to feel more confident and positive on the inside as well.  We smile more, frown less and are kinder to one another.   Aesthetics is one of many ways we can honor and love our temple.

"Practicing this type of self-care helps us to not only look more beautiful on the outside but to feel more confident and positive on the inside as well."

I have a very gentle touch and take my time.  I love being the best part of each client’s day as I strive to enhance their natural features and beauty. I believe that when we feel better about ourselves, it carries through to our loved ones and the world around us.

Amelia Perez, Esthetician

My favorite part of my work is when my clients leave feeling better, stronger and happier than when they walked in. I love to empower my clients, and make them feel like they can take on the world. I try to live and practice my work with my favorite quote in mind:

“Be the woman who fixes another woman's crown, without telling the world that it was crooked.”

I believe beauty has a power to it; one we should all harness. The world can be a very dark place, but I like to look for the beauty in it and use it to bring light to my clients’ lives. I received my Esthetician license from Destination Academy in Las Vegas. I am also a licensed phlebotomist via the Bay Area Medical Academy, and am currently pursuing my nursing degree at Santa Rosa Junior College. I also worked as an esthetician and manager at waxing salons and medical spas in Las Vegas for several years. Even with 11 years of industry experience, I am always learning and growing as an esthetician. I am passionate about continued education and staying on top of the newest trends and breakthroughs. I love that aesthetics is so creative and dynamic, and I’m motivated every day to expand my skill set and be the best provider for my clients.
